Power-point presentation is set-up for the interaction from the participants.  To engage them in identifying how co-dependency, family systems and addiction are wedded together.   

Learning objectives:

To give the participants new insights and techniques to assist them in their work with individual or family clients.  To give the participant the opportunity to look at new family systems work within the scope of co-dependency and addiction.

Presenters Bio:

Rusty Gillette has worked in the addiction field for over 32 years.  He has worked both as an administrator and a therapist in substance abuse, eating disorders, co-occurring disorders, and co-dependency with both adults and adolescents.  He is currently the acting Clinical Director at Destiny Wellness Center in Tulsa and giving workshops throughout Oklahoma.  Rusty received his bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Langston University and His Master’s degree in Human Relations from the University of Oklahoma.  He is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC), a supervisor for both the LADC & LPC and is an Equine Specialist II.  In 2009 he was awarded the “The Dennis Auld Professional of the Year 2009” for continuous and unselfish devotion to Oklahoma and National Drug and Alcohol Services for individuals, families and communities; presented by the Oklahoma Drug and Alcohol Professional Counselor Association (ODAPCA).
