In the loving memory of Lydia Norie

 The Oklahoma Drug and Alcohol Professional Counselor Association (ODAPCA) was founded by Lydia Norie in 1978. Lydia's dedication and passion for helping others significantly influenced the drug and alcohol counseling field as we know it today. Her tireless work focused on obtaining legislative funding for drug and alcohol programs across Oklahoma and establishing guidelines to regulate the qualifications and testing standards for counselors. Lydia through ODAPCA contributed to the education of counselors by providing continuing education through workshops and conferences. Lydia Norie later retired in 2001 and passed away on September 10, 2007. In tribute to her legacy, ODAPCA is dedicated to preserving her memory through these workshops.
